The kind of fresh bread
that makes a
house a home.
Every loaf at Old Brick Store is shaped by hand, baked slow, and born from the simple belief that the best things in life can't be rushed — or bought from a machine.
Old Brick Store has been a quiet cornerstone of West Townsend for as long as anyone can remember. The name comes from the very walls that hold us — original brick, worn smooth by decades of warm ovens and busy mornings.
We don't do shortcuts. Our dough is mixed by hand, given time to rise properly, and baked in small batches throughout the day. That's why your bread arrives with a crackling crust and a crumb that smells like Sunday morning. The same care goes into everything on our shelves — from house-made jams to locally sourced pantry staples.
Handmade
Every item shaped and finished by hand, never mass-produced.
Local
We partner with nearby farms and producers whenever possible.
Daily
Fresh bakes come out of the oven multiple times each day.
Neighborly
We know our customers by name — that's not a slogan, it's just how we are.
What We Make
From our oven to your table.
Every morning begins before dawn. By the time we open, our racks are already full of things you won't find anywhere else in town.
Signature
Sourdough & Artisan Loaves
Our starter has been feeding us for years. Each loaf gets a long, slow fermentation that develops flavor no fast method can match.
Pastries & Morning Bakes
Croissants, danishes, cinnamon rolls — all made from scratch and baked fresh before the bell rings. Best enjoyed warm with coffee.
House-Made Preserves
Small-batch jams, jellies, and preserves made from seasonal fruit. No artificial anything — just fruit, sugar, and patience.
Pantry & Grocery Picks
A curated selection of local honey, olive oil, pasta, and other shelf staples — things we'd actually keep in our own kitchen.
Custom Orders
Cakes & Celebration Bakes
Birthdays, anniversaries, or just because — we bake custom cakes and treats for whatever moment you're marking.
Seasonal & Holiday Specials
Every season brings something new — from pumpkin spice loaves in fall to holiday fruitcakes. Check back often; they don't last long.
Our Community
More than a store — a gathering place.
Old Brick Store has always been about more than transactions. It's about the regulars who stop in for their morning roll, the families who make it part of their weekend routine, and the neighbors who recommend us to visitors.
We sponsor the little league team. We donate day-old bread to the food shelf. We keep the lights on late during the holidays because we know some people would rather shop when it's quiet. This isn't corporate policy — it's just what happens when your business is woven into the fabric of a town.
